Previously known as Umtali is the fourth largest city in Zimbabwe.

Mashonaland Central

Mashonaland Central Province

Bindura
was originally named Kimberley Reefs after the gold mine which was opened in 1901. The name was changed to Bindura in 1913 when the railway arrived.

Mashonaland East

Mashonaland East Province

Marondera
formerly known as Marandellas. was one of the earliest centres of white settlement in the former colony of Southern Rhodesia, Marondera was one of the centres of Zimbabwe's large forestry and farming district and markets timber, tobacco, corn (maize), beef, and dairy products.

Harare
is an independent city equivalent to a province. It is Zimbabwe's largest city and its administrative, commercial, and communications capital. The city is a trade centre for tobacco, maize, cotton, and citrus fruits.

Mana Pools

Mana Pools is a wildlife conservation area in and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1984.  It has the country’s biggest concentration of hippopotamuses and crocodiles and large dry season mammal populations of elephant and buffalo.

Mashonaland West

Mashonaland West Province

Chinhoyi
Formerly called Sinoia is a large provincial town established in 1906.
The Chinhoyi caves, 120 km from Harare were created many years ago when the level ground at the foot of a long ridge of tree-covered hills collapsed into an enormous sink-hole. The clarity of the water enables fish and rock-formations many metres beneath the surface to be clearly seen.

Masvingo

Masvingo
Ppreviously Known as Fort Victoria,  is the oldest colonial settlement in Zimbabwe, and grew up around the encampment established in 1890.

Great Zimbabwe National Monument

Zimbabwe ruins Declared a World Heritage Site in 1986, the Zimbabwe Ruins are the remains of an African city thought to have been inhabited by over 10 000 people between the 13th and 15th centuries.

Matabeleland North

Matabeleland North Province

Bulawayo
the second largest city in Zimbabwe, was originally the royal kraal of the legendary Ndebele kings. The very wide streets were originally designed to allow a full span of oxen to turn.

Matobo National Park
forms the core of the Matobo or Matopos Hills, an area of granite kopjes and wooded valleys commencing some 35 kms south of Bulawayo. The Hills were formed over 2000 million years ago with granite being forced to the surface. The Hills were declared a World Heritage Site in 2003.

Khami
is a ruined city 22 kms west of  Bulawayo.  It was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1986.

Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls The small town of Victoria Falls boasts one of the seven wonders of the world, the largest and most spectacular waterfall, Victoria Falls. Declared a World Heritage Site in 1989, the Falls were discovered in 1855 by Dr David Livingstone and named after Queen Victoria. The high spray clouds give the Falls its local name - Mosioa-Tunya - The Smoke that Thunders.

Hwange
Previously known as Wankie, one of the largest Coal Fields in the world was discovered here in 1897. Hwange is also a tourism centre due to the presence of the nearby Hwange National Park, the largest National Park in Zimbabwe. The park is home to a vast number of elephant, giraffe, lion and other wildlife.

Matabeleland South

Matabeleland South Province

Gwanda 
Founded in 1900, the town is the chief centre for southwestern Zimbabwe's cattle district and also trades in agricultural produce. There are gold, asbestos, and chrome mines around Gwanda.

Midlands

Midlands Province

Gweru
Previously known as Gwelo, Gweru is the third largest City in Zimbabwe. Gweru is situated in one of Zimbabwe's finest cattle rearing areas and surrounding agricultural activity revolves around the cattle industry - both beef and dairy.
